Hurricane Helene Relief Options
Message from Pastor Jason:
Many of you have probably been watching the news like us this past week and been shocked by the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in the southeast. We have family in Hendersonville, NC, just south of Asheville. They live on the top of a mountain, so they haven't been affected by the floods but they had a lot of tree damage and their business has been significantly impacted.
Here's an interview Marie's sister Becky did with KWLM radio yesterday about the impact.
If you're looking for ways to help, as Becky says in the interview, please be in prayer for the people in the area. The trauma and impact on daily life has been unbelievable.
Also, if you're looking for ways to give or donate, below are a few trustworthy options you could consider.
EFCA ReachGlobal Crisis Response
This is our denominations crisis response ministry and what they are specifically doing for Helene relief.
This is my in-law’s (Marie’s sister) church located just south of Asheville, NC. They're church is coordinating some local relief efforts.
The ministry led by Franklin Graham is also doing a lot to help the impacted regions.
